I wanted a bag, I actually considered a small bag, but the idea of buying a small bag then replacing it with something later felt like a bad value proposition, but as a new player I didn’t really want to spend the money some of the bigger bags cost.
I bought the £99.99 mystery box, 8 discs + a large bag.
The discs I received were a good mix of drivers, mids and putters, some neutral, some under and some over stable. The discs I got sell for over £110 and the bag retails for £90. Receiving £200 value for half price.
The premium Launch bag is pretty great. I can fit 20 discs in the main section and another 4 or 5 in the putter pocket (usually I put in 2putters, a throwing putter and 2midrange discs and then just stick to those for the round) there are side pockets for different accessories and a rain cover is included. I play on a woodland course and the bag is stable on rugged terrain, it hasn’t toppled yet.
I haven’t thrown all the discs I got yet, but I’ve been very impressed with the ones I have got around to testing.
The value of the mystery box is incredible in my opinion, I just wish there was a middle option for 8-10 discs without a bag, though I’d probably end up with far too many discs then.
