Beadless, flat-topped and slim in the hand, the Sensei bears one of the coolest names in disc golf while also marketing itself as an entry-level putter on Discmania's Active line. Arguably, that should push the Sensei from 4 to 5 stars, just to reward Discmania for their virtuous decision to keep a world-class putter in the "Affordable" shelves. However, the 4 stars verdict stands mainly because after 2 years of regular use, the plastic has developed a slight bit of slickness to its top plate. This is a little frustrating as the rim has stood up pretty well to many chain and ground hits. A good clean and a light Brillo brushing brings it back to something like its original grippiness, so all is not lost, nevertheless it is a little disappointing. As Casey's video review shows, it is a pretty straight thrower for up to about 70m, after which it turns over pretty hard especially if beaten in, but that is the same for almost any 3-speed straight putter, except perhaps for the Envy ...
