The Discraft Z Mantis is a utility driver for experienced players, and a distance driver for newer players. It’s a straight flyer right off the shelf, and has a superior glide phase to carry you towards the basket.
A touch of overstability enables control at slow or high speeds. Rip it hard for a hyzer flip or “S” distance shot, or hold a straight line at slower speeds. Try Mantis for straight thumber shots too!
Only recently started using, but on a flat release will turn and fade as the flight numbers suggest. Not sure about head wind resilience yet but great for flipping to flat with a good fade at the end. Good driver disc for someone at the end of the beginner stage moving into recreational.

Underrated all-purpose Fairway
I find the Mantis to be a perfect mix of control and shot-shaping ability out of the box. I think for most ams this will perform like how a seasoned Teebird type disc does for pros
