The Stingray is a large diameter disc that has a very predictable turn and excellent glide. It has a shallow rim that makes it easy to grip for smaller hands and allows for a smooth consistent release. These characteristics make it a good choice for beginners. The Stingray is also an excellent disc for throwing controllable mid to long range roller shots.
picked this disc up for its looks and to support Kat, but I can see me bagging it for sure now I’ve thrown it, it glides really well similar to a river, but is as under stable as my Maul which is my go to backhand right turn for 250ft ish shots, I’m averaging a bit less than that distance with this Stingray though, it’s flying 150-200ft for me, that’s absolutely on me and not the disc though, I throw a thrasher 250-300ft on average as a comparison. I would recommend getting a Stingray to try, it’s a good tool in your bag 👍🏼
