There is no doubting the Raider is a popular disc. I know people who swear it is the only thing they can get to 400 feet on a golf line, and yes, I too have thrown it that way and it usually works just fine, provided I keep it on hyzer the whole way. If I wanted to I could underthrow it as a midrange approach that will catch a big ol' skip on ground contact that will float up high on even the hint of a crosswind. But that is kind of the problem: The big dome / high glide pros come with cons which I just don't believe should come with a 13-speed disc. By the time your bag building goes into the double digits, and assuming you have already sorted 10, 11, and 12 speeds, you would expect discing up to 13 only if (a) your 12 speed just cannot handle your arm anymore; (b) the damn headwind keeps flipping your Destroyer over; (c) your FH snap has maxed out but you still need another 20 feet from the flight or a skip; or (d) you have hands like an NBA center (think, the "Shaq") and you need a properly fat rim for your power grip. I would not suggest the Raider for any of the above, except (d).
