Loving the Kaxe, that lovely K1 plastic feel with a reliable flight. Using the Kaxe and the Kaxe K1 Soft for all my fairway driver needs.
Would say this is more of a fast midrange than a slow fairway. Rim isn’t super wide but feels faster than most mids. Bought to throw in slight headwinds but found it’s not as stable as the number suggest. I’ve found mine will flip if it gets too windy, but not every disc is the same. I’ve found it useful between 250 and 300ft. Comfortable in the hand, and a nice feeling plastic(K1), grippy but not tacky.
This is my long-range mid I use in a myriad of situations. I find the K1 to be straighter than my K3s — less turn and less fade. I also find that the K1 moulds up slightly domier, although this disc is still not domey by any means. I would recommend this disc to anyone who dislikes the feel of wide-diameter mids or someone who prefers the fairway feel but is looking for a midrange flight.
Just as Ace says, Kaxe is a great multi-purpose disc. It is a controllable mid-range that flies like a fairway driver but lands like a mid-range. Or it flies like a mid-range but can reach fairway driver distance, whichever you like. For me it flies reliably straight even in headwind with a reasonable, not too strong fade in the end. This is a trusty aim and shoot disc with good distance potential. Works beautifully for forehands too because the rim is not too deep. And, it works well for putting in single-disc rounds. Personally I like the K2 plastic the best because of its gummy feel that gives me great grip and control. I've put this bad boy into the basket from 60m (BDGC hole 2) into a gusty headwind: flew straight as an arrow and faded into the chains just as intended (although much to my shock!).
