Possibly the straightest flying disc out there, with all the floaty glide of a pebble. Takes a bit of getting used to, because you have to give it a bit more oomph than other discs, but it’s now my ‘range finder’ approach disc as it slams the breaks on with very little ground play.
If you're looking for a disc that will not want to go past 70m at 90% power (unless you've got a cannon of an arm) and then fade (in a stop fashion, not like your usual overstable disc that will push forward while fading), this mould is worth trying.
If the above is what you need/want and you're after a disc that stops where it lends or doesn't get massive kicks when hitting trees and such, then you absolutely need to try the K1 Soft version if not then try this one and see for yourself.
I bought this to see what the hype was about and I can tell you it made upshots easier (especially with some 80-90% standstill shots) as well as enabling me to not grab a midrange or faster when my throwing putters weren't quite up to the task.
I'll happily admit to being pretty sceptical about the Berg at first, but after throwing it for a few rounds, I'll be buying spares.
The 2021 glow has a good level of stability for fast approach shots but you're rarely going to overshoot the basket, and for lofty approaches it just drops out the sky.
Would highly recommend!
The K1 berg or should I call it “the Bullet” aim and fire with a nice drop and no skip… recommend to anybody
Was sceptical at first given the hype around this disc, but honestly, just buy one! Between this and the Zone, all my upshots are covered, and it will never leave my bag. Great for short forehand approaches, goes straight with a slight fade and won't shoot past the basket if you overpower it.
